Yeah, I know it’s over…

…but I’m clearly having a hard time letting go of the holidays!

Maybe it’s cause I viewed half the month through a fever blur, but I feel like the holiday season went by too fast this year!! However, I must move on. So, this is my last hurrah of holiday decor. I’ve got some documentation of our house before I take it all down…

The centerpiece was done with leftover pine cones, holy cuttings from the yard, and pine tree branches from the Christmas tree. Super easy and free. Always a plus.

The mantel was inspired by this. The pinecone mantel decor was transitioned from fall to winter by adding a homemade ‘Merry Christmas’ garland made from these free downloads.

The wreath was my first attempt at that idea and was made from natural yard cutting leftovers too. Let’s just say a wreath form would have been helpful. This one has got a crappy ‘rustic’ look to it because I freehanded it and it’s saggy in places. Here’s a tutorial for people who are less lazy than me want to do it right :).

OK, That’s all for my holiday links.

Now on to New Years plans….

About onaclaireday

I am a wife, a mother, a social worker, a writer, a crafter, and a seeker who is trying to blend all of my passions into one balanced life. Usually my path feels cloudy, but occasionally, on a clear day, 'getting it right' feels so close I can smell it. Here I'll write about that journey sharing about whatever strikes my fancy from good books I'm reading to interior design. Thanks for reading and sharing your journey too. - Claire
