To market to market…

to buy cheap stuff

I went to the flea market in our town for the first time today and was mesmerized! It was HUGE and diverse. One could find anything from a milk glass vase to an old church pew to a pregnancy test. Yes, a pregnancy test. (If you’re looking for them in the sea of offerings, they’re in one of the covered areas just past the vintage blue jeans, but before the transformer rugs across from the shampoo.)

So, what were MY finds? Two old framed pictures, which made my husband seriously question my level of taste. One features a print of a deer and the other is an embroidered still life of sorts with a well and birds. Needless to say I have other plans for said picture’s frames. These creations will be revealed along with my other week-long craft project I’ve been working on for my little one ASAP. I’m shooting for tomorrow, but I’m not making any promises.

Hope you’re having amazing weekends with new finds, fun and great weather like we are here at my house.

About onaclaireday

I am a wife, a mother, a social worker, a writer, a crafter, and a seeker who is trying to blend all of my passions into one balanced life. Usually my path feels cloudy, but occasionally, on a clear day, 'getting it right' feels so close I can smell it. Here I'll write about that journey sharing about whatever strikes my fancy from good books I'm reading to interior design. Thanks for reading and sharing your journey too. - Claire
